Unlike Nielsen Audio’s Diary methodology, PPM data is limited in reporting listening by location to In Home vs. Out of Home. While listening to the radio, panelists’ meters are either exposed to their household’s in-home beacon (indicating In Home listening)… or they aren’t.

2020 began with PPM markets showing approximately 70% of PUMM (total market AQH listening) was Out of Home. COVID-19 and subsequent stay at home orders changed that, and a return to norm appears to be ahead.
